The meeting involving President Bola Tinubu and the organised labour to resolve the issues surrounding the new national minimum wage has ended without any positive conclusion.
Jaapanews reported earlier on the arrival of representatives of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the State House in Abuja for a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, but It was learnt that the meeting had been adjourned till next week as the leadership of the labour unions maintained the demand of N250,000 minimum wage.
Recall that the president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu had invited the organised labour to Aso villa for meeting on Thursday to discuss the ongoing implementation of the new minimum wage looking forward to settle the lingering talks on minimum wage.
Nigerians however, especially the nation’s workforce expecting a breakthrough in the new minimum wage.
