Panic as gunmen murder army general in Abuja

Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday as retired Brigadier General Uwem Harold Udokwe of the Nigerian Army was brutally murdered by suspected armed robbers in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

 

The incident occurred at his residence in Sunshine Homes Estate, leaving family and friends in shock.

 

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the deceased was attacked and killed at approximately 3 am on Saturday. The FCT Police Command has since launched a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

 

The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, has condemned the attack and assured the family of the deceased and the public that swift justice will be served.
