Tragedy Strikes as Kaduna pilgrim passes away in Saudi Arabia

A sad incident has occurred during the Hajj pilgrimage as Hajiya Asma’u Muhammad-Ladan, a female pilgrim from Kaduna State, has passed away.

According to a statement released by the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Hajiya Asma’u died on Friday at the King Fahad Hospital in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, after a brief illness.

 

The agency’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Yunusa Muhammad-Abdullahi, confirmed the tragic news in a statement issued in Arafat on Saturday, June 15. Although the statement did not mention her local government of origin, it noted that the deceased was registered at the agency’s headquarters.

 

The agency has extended its condolences to the family of the late pilgrim, who have been notified of her passing. In a statement, the management and staff of the Kaduna State Pilgrim Welfare Agency prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased’s soul, forgiveness of her sins, and comfort for her family during this difficult time.
