Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar responded to the widely shared video that showed President Bola Tinubu tripping and falling on the presidential parade vehicle at Eagles Square in Abuja.
Recall that Tinubu approached the car soon after arriving at the 2024 Democracy Day location, but just as he was ready to get inside, he momentarily lost his balance.
But the President soon regained his composure, and with the assistance of his security assistants, the procedures proceeded.
“I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, #officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day,” Atiku tweeted in a post that linked to the viral video on X.com.
“I do hope that all is well with him.”

The video has prompted reactions from Nigerians on social media as well.
In response to the incident, some internet users made fun of the president, while others played it down because the president continued with the formalities.
