Lagos to London: Obasanjo meets with owner’s daughter and applauds Air Peace

Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president, has given Air Peace particular recognition for the customer service it provides.

Following a satisfying experience on an Air Peace flight from Lagos to London and vice versa, Obasanjo spoke.

The now-viral video shows the former president saying this in a conversation with Nnenna Onyema, the chief executive officer’s daughter, while on a trip.

The airline posted a video on Monday on its official X handle, in which Obasanjo is seen shaking hands with Nnenna and thanking her for the excellent service.

“Tell your father that I went and returned without making any complaints,” he said.

The airline did, however, thank the previous president for his support.

“Having the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on our Lagos-London and London-Lagos flights recently was great,” said Air Peace. “I went; it was pleasant,” he added. It was even more enjoyable when I returned. Your Excellency, we appreciate you travelling with us.

The foreign carrier operator permit and third country operator permit were successfully obtained by Air Peace, according to a November announcement made by Allen Onyema, the airline’s chairman and CEO.

At a prelaunch seminar held in February by the airline, it declared its intention to start direct flight operations to London on March 30.

It started offering flights from Lagos to London one month after the announcement.
