Basirat Damilola Marshall, the daughter of Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, often known as KWAM1, has been named as the governor of Lagos State by Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.
Marshall confirmed the appointment with a post on her official social media account that featured congrats from friends and colleagues.

KWAM1, her father thanked Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter to his cabinet while playing live on stage during Oba Sikirullah Apena’s birthday celebration and coronation on Thursday.
The Fuji singer stated that Damilola, his daughter, urged him to express his gratitude to the governor in public for her appointment.
“Congratulations Barr. @damimarshall_ on your appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism,” wrote Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, a Nigerian, in an email congratulating her on the role. “Thank you, sir,” was her reply to “This is a deserving recognition for your hard work and contributions to our party.”

Damilola was a principal partner at a law firm prior to her appointment.
