INEC conducted credible elections in Bauchi – REC

The general elections in Bauchi State in 2023, according to Alhaji Muhammad Nura, the state’s resident electoral commissioner (REC), was  free, fair, and credible.

This was said by Nura on Tuesday in Bauchi at the 2023 Post Election Review Meeting.

“We held elections in 5423 voting places, and the 212 registration regions in the state tallied the results.

All senatorial districts, as well as state and federal constituencies, returned winners.

The reason we are here to examine the results of the elections and offer suggestions for ways to enhance future procedures is because the polls were not without flaws, said Nura Said.

He advised the attendees to openly express their opinions, noting that doing so would help the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) plan upcoming elections.

In contrast, the REC applauded the security services, the media, civil society organisations (CSOs), and other parties that helped the commission hold successful elections in the state.
