Community life is valued in Africa, but is discouraged in the West, according to Omokri. Many kids have never even met their cousins. And neighbors may pass away in their homes for weeks without anyone knowing.

“Young people in the West generally have little concern for your age. “And if you are the kind of person who despises your culture and language, you WILL have children who despise themselves in other countries and instinctively despise any African with an accent. When an African speaks in their own tongue and dons traditional attire, their contempt deepens.
