In honor of the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir, Bello Matawalle, the former governor of Zamfara State, gave N200 million to some of the state’s residents.
Eid-El-Kabir will be observed by Muslims this year on June 29, 2023.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Zamfara State, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, made a statement accessible to newsmen on Saturday that confirmed Matawalle’s donation for the celebration.
The recipients, according to Danfulani, the chairman of the distribution committee, comprised party members, supporters, women, young people’s organizations, and associations.
Other recipients included the underprivileged and orphans, as well as Muslim intellectuals, journalists, and social media managers.
“The act is intended to make it easier for people to celebrate the approaching Eid-el-Kabir festival in 2023.
Malam Yusuf Idris, the party’s state publicity secretary, cited Danfulani as saying that “the committee had already started the distribution of the money to all the beneficiaries.”
Danfulani commended Matawalle for the kind gift and hailed it as timely because it will ease the state’s inhabitants’ financial difficulties, particularly at the local level.
The committee would make sure that all the intended recipients of the gift receive it by Wednesday, the party’s chairman promised.
