Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Anthony Victor, popularly known as Victony has revealed that veteran singer and rapper, Olamide inspired his debut album.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Victony expressed his gratitude to Olamide asserting that he inspired him on his debut album ‘stubborn. Shout out to Olamide, he said. Maintaining that Olamide is basically the reason why he has an album.
He encouraged me to go for it. I wanted to put out a smaller body of work like an EP because I didn’t think I was ready for an album but after meeting Olamide and the words of encouragement he gave to me, he added.
Victony also claimed that for someone at that level making out time for people in this generation to make sure that they are making the right moves and doing what is necessary for our careers, he owns him gratitude, so to give him a shout out to let people know he was part of everything that has to do with his album.
