The viral video of a police officer opening a car door for a young man and carrying his cash while he sprayed cash at an event has prompted a response from Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.
For the police force, Adejobi called the officer’s actions “disgusting” and “embarrassing.”
Adejobi noted, “This was a case study at the IGP’s conference today in Abuja,” while posting the video on X.com on Thursday.
A case investigation has been started, and this has been denounced.
It is mandated that senior officers monitor individuals who are to have police escorts and guards and take action against such in their Areas of Responsibility.
“Not even the man he was escorting merits a police escort.” It’s repulsive and embarrassing for the force. Maybe the cop was working an unlawful assignment. He will be caught, as will many others.
