Tinubu leaves Lagos and heads to South Africa

After leaving Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu is now in Pretoria, South Africa.

NAN reports that the President departed Nigeria on Tuesday at 11:06 a.m.

 

Tinubu is scheduled to attend the inauguration of Cyril Ramaphosa, the newly elected president of South Africa.

After the event, the president will depart for Nigeria.

 

At the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Tinubu was bid farewell by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries.

 

The aircraft used to transport the president was a Dassault Falcon 8X registered 9H-GRC.

 

On Friday, Tinubu travelled to Lagos to attend the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

 

He had urged Nigerians to make the kind of sacrifices that would elevate their country.
