The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has named Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu as the head of the party’s reconciliation committee.
His appointment was made public early on Monday morning in a statement following the South South zonal conference that took place on Sunday in Calabar.
“We have resolved to establish a reconciliation committee within the South-South region,” the statement read. Cross River State Governor, HE Sen. Bassey Otu, will be in charge of this.
They also resolved to strengthen the party’s presence and influence in the area by bridging any gaps in communication, encouraging teamwork, and working towards a shared objective.
They reiterated in the communiqué their steadfast support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s policies and initiatives in promoting economic reforms, national security, good governance, and infrastructure development.
To demonstrate their commitment to winning more states, they decided to use all of the party’s resources to help Edo State win during the gubernatorial contest.
