Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has unfollowed Grammy winner Wizkid.
This happens after Wizkid called the music executive an influencer on Twitter, making fun of him.
It all began when Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records signed artist Ladipoe made a statement regarding the state of Afrobeats.
“Nigerian rappers who survived the notion that “hip hop is dead” watched Afrobeat artists go through their own,” the

Wizkid was then alerted to this by a social media user.

Wizkid made fun of Ladipoe’s manager Don Jazzy rather than confronting Ladipoe.
“Lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer,” he retorted.
Considering Don Jazzy’s extensive history in the Afrobeats genre as well as his position as label head, many fans feel that Wizkid’s remark regarding “influencers” was an insult directed at him.
Don responded to this by unfollowing him.
