Olukayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, has issued an order directing the withdrawal of all police personnel assigned to Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State.

A police wireless transmission included the order for the pullout, as per a Friday DailyPost story.

The paper with reference number “CB:4001/DOPS/PMF/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.48/34” said, in part, that the Inspector General (IG) has directed the evacuation of all law enforcement personnel assigned to Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the former Executive Governor of Kogi State.

“Recognise compliance and give it top priority. Above all, I ask for your careful attention to detail and compliance.

The former governor was earlier added to the blacklist of the Nigerian Immigration Service after he was declared sought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in relation to a suspected money laundering investigation.
