Army frees Delta monarch, who was detained over military deaths

The traditional leader Clement Ikolo, who was previously detained and declared sought in connection with the horrific killing of 17 soldiers in Delta State on March 14, 2024, has been freed by the Nigerian Army.

The monarch and seven other people were listed as sought by Defence Headquarters due to allegations of their involvement in the act.

 

Sen. Ede Dafianone, who stood surety, received him back.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, gave him his freedom at a briefing at Army Headquarters.
