Step in before things get messy – Iyabo Ojo pleads with Sanwo -Olu

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has pleaded with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to support Abosede, the mother of the late musician Mohbad.

In response to threats on Abosede’s life, Ojo urged the governor to assist in ensuring her safety.

The actor urged security services and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to step in before things get out of control.

According to Iyabo Ojo, Mohbad’s mother has experienced bullying, stalking, and harassment—things that are unacceptable, particularly for a woman who is still grieving for her son.

The actor went on to say that while everyone in Nigeria has the right to feel secure in their own homes, Mohbad’s mother’s circumstances are unique.

“Even though I’ve tried to step aside from #justiceformohbad, I can’t ignore this cry for help. I feel it is high time the right authorities waged in on this matter before things begin to get messy, if it’s not already getting out of hand,” she wrote. “I received a distress call from Mama Mohbad concerning her safety in the earlier hours of today.

“I think there are rules in our country, and I think every Nigerian has the right to feel secure in their own houses. To the Nigerian police force, our honourable governor Babajide Sanwolu sir, @adejobimuyiwa, and all the concerned public—please, this needs to end.

The fact that Mohbad hasn’t been buried yet is traumatising enough; it only seems just that we allow her to grieve her son in peace rather than in parts. Furthermore, it shouldn’t be acceptable to stalk, harass, abuse, and dehumanise Mohbad’s mother. This must end.
