Dunamis: Lady accused of false testimony NOUN graduate

Veronica Anyim, a lady who graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria’s Law Department, was suspected by Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, of fabricating a testimony at the church.

Enenche was seen in Anyim’s video, which went viral on Sunday, casting doubt on the veracity of the woman’s story in his Abuja church.

Enenche interrupted her while she was claiming to have graduated from NOUN with a “BSc in Law,” accusing her of lying.

Based on the way she spoke, he told her that she didn’t sound like a law graduate. In addition, he insisted that she vacate the pulpit and informed her that a “BSc in Law” is unheard of.

Remember that NOUN explicitly declared in 2016 that it would no longer be accepting new applicants for its Law programme.

Its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdallah Adamu, stated that the decision came about as a result of the Council for Legal Education excluding graduates of its Law programme from enrolling in the Nigerian Law School.

Additionally, he based his judgement on the National Universities Commission’s recommendation that students should not be allowed to continue with the course until the deadlock caused by the Law School’s reluctance to let NOUN graduates enrol in its programme was resolved.

After conducting more investigations, it was discovered that Anyim had paid the course registration fees for a number of courses, including Law of Evidence, International Law and Diplomacy, Land Law 1 & 2, and Law of Taxation.

Additionally, Anyim, whose number was 2262 on the convocation list that our reporter saw, received her LLB Law degree. She studied at the Abuja Model Study Centre and received a Third Class diploma.

He verified that Anyim had graduated from the school and that her identity had been verified by a source in the Registrar’s office of the institution who wished to remain anonymous due to the gravity of the situation.

The insider insisted that it was feasible for the woman to graduate in 2024, around eight years after the programme was halted.

It’s conceivable. She had most likely waited a few years to prepare for the programme. or postponed for several reasons.

He emphasised further that some participants in their programme have been there for around ten years because they are preoccupied with job or other commitments. Using the example of programme suspension due to funding shortage, he further stated that delaying admittance to the school is an easy process.

Additionally, a look at the woman’s Facebook page revealed that she is a police officer and that she indeed graduated from National Open University Abuja (sic) after writing, “And it came to pass yesterday, April 13, being Saturday, 2024.” I’m saying thank you, Father, for enabling me to complete my legal education. Once again, congratulations to me.
