Actress Yvonne Nelson accused famed Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, also known by his stage name Sarkodie, of having an affair with her and requesting her to have the pregnancy terminated.
Remember how the actress described aborting her first pregnancy because she is fatherless and did not expect to give birth to a kid whose father had refused to accept responsibility in her recently published book, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”?
She said that Sarkodie “said no to keeping the pregnancy” in the chapter headed “A Difficult Decision.”
Sarkodie responded by releasing a song titled “Try Me” early on June 28. Sarkodie said in the song that despite not being financially prepared, he wasn’t the one who asked for the abortion.
He stated Yvonne Nelson said she couldn’t have kept it because she was in school then.
“I never imagined I would be riding this wave since I was prepared to take a few items with me to the grave. First off, let me give you a round of applause for being bold. However, you shouldn’t pick and choose what to say. Instead, please act appropriately. “Ohemaa, if you want to talk, you have to tell the world every n*gga that you f*cked,” Sarkodie rapped.
He goes on;
I’m not going to pretend that we had something going on; at first, I believed we were cool until I got a hint. I was to fault when you told me you were pregnant since I wasn’t ready, but I advised you to keep the pregnancy and you stated that you have to complete your school”.
Since you stated you didn’t need it and I said my doctor should take care of you, I’ll be honest and say I haven’t come to believe it. You texted me after the conversation to say that a friend of yours had a doctor and that he was the finest. Therefore, don’t give the impression that I was the one pressuring you to ab*rt since it was the only thing that incensed me, Sarkodie threw in.
He warned Yvonne not to pose as a good girl since she “was for the streets” in the second stanza.
